My daughter went to cash in on a GC the day of closing, waited l 1/2 hours to order, then ordered a pork plate and a beef plate, loaded fries and half barbeque chicken...when she got home she got dry pork & beef, and a chicken leg, but the fries were good, all for $40, now we know why they went out of business. Its disgraceful...Happy they are gone, maybe now we can get a GOOD barbeque restaurant!
Food and service was good, need to update restrooms
Large serving, well smoked food, reasonable price!
dont like the bbq sauce to much vinegar
Good steaks and sweet tea
Excellent! I had the Larry’s Special.it was awesome!

Fried pickles are delicious and plentiful.
Best country's hands down try their steaksBuck steak boom
Very nice place. Love the atmosphere.
Some of the best steaks in town! Barbecue is pretty good, decent sides, with a large variety on a menu that includes hand-breaded chicken tenders, a monster club sandwich, chef salad, open faced roast beef sandwich, and homemade desserts. Try the Larry's Special marinated beef tenderloin and the fried corn on the cob! Bottomless iced tea served in quart mason jars, sweet and unsweetened. Enjoy!
The food was excellent and service was quick at a fair price.
Very friendly and helpful staff. All smiles. Fast with your orders getting to table. Always good.
The aroma, the decor, the food, it all reaks of authenticity. The sauces may not be spicy, but the food sure will leave you with a full stomach and a smile on your face.
Good but they shouldn't stretch they bbq sauce with water jus to save a little bit.
Closed now, after thirty years. So sad...
I will never go back to this location again! I have eaten for years at the Montgomery locations and they are wonderful. Driving through Prattville I spotted this today at lunch decided to have some yummy barbecue for lunch. What a mistake! It took forever to get my order and then it made me sick. So apparently this location isn't kept clean enough to avoid food poisoning. Drive the extra 30 minutes to Montgomery or go else where's my recommendation
I haven't ate at Country's since the late 80's. It really bright back some great memory's, but the place is ran down. The ribs were great and I love the pickles, and onions mixed in the barbecue. The corn bread was cold and dry, but had that flavor you only get at country's. I wish I had that recipe. The first night I moved to Alabama I was 19 year old and didn't know anyone for 900 miles. I ate at country's and loved it! I ordered the same meal I did that night 31 years ago. The conglomeration.
The food is delicious and the service is great!
There's nothing about this place that I can truly complain about. While their coleslaw isn't to my liking, it's a matter of personal taste. Their potato salad is some of the best I've ever had and their conglomeration platter is damn near perfect.
The special was dried out and burned, cornbread was black in places, the fries had been cooked too long and were soggy. Not even worth the special price. The waitress Jennifer was very nice
Actually a pretty good spot. I cant say im a bbq connoisseur or anything like that, but I will say they definitely have the better bbq in the Prattville area. Good food, I loved our waiter and the prices we're good for the quality and quantity of everything. Check it out for sure.
So we get there at 8:20pm. We waited to be seated. But guess what we waited 10 minutes. They had one person cleaning tables in the back, at the take out window one person on the phone and one person walking and talking at the take out window. Than I yelled can we get seated. We were ignored. So we left. I will never forget there again. The worst part the 2 woman working the take out window saw us. Nobgreating nothing.
Surprisingly good. Friendly service. Will definitely go back.
This has become one of our stops every time we go through Prattville. The food is always great and the prices are good. Sometimes the service is slow but sometimes fast. It doesn’t stop me from coming back for more
Good service nice atmosphere. Decent food.
Tasty food. Pulled pork had a bit too much fat for my liking. Our starting service was slow, even though they weren't busy, but it improved once we received our drink order.
Their ribs are terrific. Other BBQ is excellent too.
* 4 stars *Great place. The service is impeccable and the food is pretty good. The fried pickles were heavenly but the grilled chicken wasn’t my favorite. I had to wait about an hour before I got my food. The waiter was very apologetic and took back the order of fried pickles.
My wife and I had the fried pickles and onions as an appetizer. We ordered the BBQ tater and a plate with chopped beef and mac n cheese and fried okra as sides. The app and the tater were good, but the chopped beef was on the dry side. Our server was awesome. We'll definitely go back to try the pulled pork.
Meat was dry, ribs were not fall of the bone "very tough" pulled pork was dry and the sauces provided were extremely sweet. Mac n cheese was also dry. Fried pickles were good "thin n crispy". Had to ask for ranch from staff. Service was good. I feel this restaurant needs a clear focus on quality. The owner needs to revamp the kitchen staff.
Ribs were hot everything else was cold. The weirdest part of the dining experience was as we sat there and eat, the entire wait staff and intermixed with the cooks, would come out and lean on the booth 2 down from us and it literally felt like there were staring at us. Felt like feeding time at the zoo and we were the animals. Quality of food was not impressive. Waitress was really friendly. Needless to say, we will not be back.
There was a looonngg Sunday wait but it was well worth it. The food was superb! Our order was correct and the flavor was throughout the meat, which was also very moist and tender.
Food was very good hadn't been there in a while over an hour from where I live but worth the drive.
Good food, great steaks, and friendly staff.
So their Tea is amazing, Great banana pudding and overall great food. Kind of reminds me of what amazing food you'll get at a family reunion. Great stuff.
Food was good today and our server Angie was very nice
Had the salad and it had more meat than salad and it was delicious
I love Country's food! But I could not give it a 5 star rating. I have been there about 8 times in the last month, trying to support our local establishments. The food is always great...but half the time someone's plate at the table is cold. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE! My salad came out with my meal one time. The appetizers only appear right before your meal. The Owner is walking around, our waitress asked if he spoke to us, this is how we know it was him. Never once spoke to us. We have been in there with a table for 2 up to a table of 10 and the food has been cold on at least 1 or 2. People's plate. This kind of attention to your service is not good!
Great food .we miss this place great food and tea
Always good no matter what. Great Service. Well kept secret is that have great steaks.
Terrible service, worse food- you deserve better! I have had my order forgotten and been ignored/skipped over to be seated on MULTIPLE occasions. Do yourself a favor and go to one of Prattville's better-staffed dining options!
Loved the food and fried pickles were great
I would give it less than one star if I could. The bbq sauce was terrible and the meat had fat in it.
I have not only had the pleasure of working at Countrys BBQ for many years but also letting my years of employment there to be one of the most talked about BBQ restaurant for miles around. Hands down the best all around in three different counties!!! Mark Powell and his staff were so eager to make your trip so family and friendly oriented. And that kind of experience is very rare and hard to find anymore!!! So when you get a chance to stop in to visit allow me to recommend either the BBQ rib plate, the smoked sausage plate or even the BBQ family meal with ALL THE BEST SIDES TO enjoy as well. But don't let the fact that you are so full and satisfied with your meal that you you forget that you saved the best for last. Pick from one of the best tasting and the most delicious desserts that they have to offer!!!
I ordered a ribeye to go. It was one of the best steaks I've had. I've been to Morton's of Chicago, Ruth's Chris as well as Longhorn and Outback. It ranked up there with the best.
Food is great as always. But the service has just gotten piss poor. Sad because The food is great. Had to ask another server to get ours for a check didn’t get the 3rd straw for 15/20 minutes.
Great food, great service, great people!!! I'm from Mo. and was made to feel at right at home. Thumbs up to my waitress! Very friendly and professional. I wish I remembered her name. Six stars for her! Thank you for the dining experience!
I ordered well done it came out rare I ordered milk for my daughter and it was expired it was so expired when she took a drink a clump was on her lip.
Visited on a Saturday when the place was busy and the service reflected that. Servers seemed not to know their stations and fought over who would take what table. Lunch took longer than it should. Q was good as it always is, perhaps some training for the managers and wait staff.
